Senior Living

This project provided a finish upgrade to the hallways on floors two through eight.
Work was performed two floors at a time and included new carpet, wall covering, handrails, paint, and wall sconces. Walls were re-skimmed prior to the installation of the new wall covering. This project was completed on time and on budget.

Phase I of this project involved conversion of a 15-bed skilled nursing wing to a secure unit. The main dining area for the second floor was upgraded with new casework, painting, flooring and wood trim finishes. Security doors with access controls were added to convert the old wing to the new secure unit. New finishes were added to the main corridor and the activity room and administrative areas.
Phase II consisted of remodeling 30 resident rooms, the main corridors and a large common area. Both of these projects were completed on time and on budget.

Batten & Shaw constructed the Barton House in Nashville, Tennessee in the year 2000. This Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care residence is a single-story brick facility that features 20 resident rooms, a formal living area, and a full kitchen with a dining room.
This project also features several outdoor amenities, including a fenced in exercise area. Utilizing a natural spring on the property, a pond stocked with trout was also constructed. This project was completed on time and on budget.

During only a three year time period, a total of 12 assisted living properties were constructed for Morningside Properties. These wood frame structures ranging in size from 27,000 SF to 43,000 SF
were built in 10 months or less. The facilities are all located in the Southeastern U.S.
